about me

my photo

Hello! My name is Jim. My interest in website design started back in 2009 when I built my outdoor photography and pet services websites with Dreamweaver.

I installed WordPress on my pet service site in 2018, and a year later created my guitar chords site also with WordPress. I developed my WordPress theme in 2020 and built my third website using that theme.

In mid-2021 I started studying JavaScript, Git, and React, as well as other technologies involving front-end development. In 2022 I took courses on MySQL, TypeScript, and even more JavaScript. From April to August 2023 I took 2 full-stack courses that introduced me to the back-end technologies and tools such as the MERN stack, Redux, Models, Controllers, Auth, and much more.

I have been running all aspects of my pet service business since 2008 so I am a motivated and independent worker. I have met and communicated with 200+ clients, managed the billing for those clients, and interviewed and hired 7 employees. I look forward to working alongside experienced designers and developers and continuing to learn the craft of web design and development!
